Focusing On Life 52 Weeks~ Week 11~ The Possibilities Are Endless

"Each morning we are born again.

What we do today is what matters most"

Buddha's Little Instruction Book

 When pondering this weeks prompt,

The possiblilities are endless,

I thought, had I been home I might take a picture of a new block of clay,
or perhaps my stash of beads or art supplies, all affording endless possibilities
of creation.

But then I thought a little deeper, and took a picture this morning of the sunrise and then this evening of the sunset, the hours between, the possibilities are endless as to what we make of them.

How many do we foolishly waste on unimportant things,
always taking for granted there will be another one right behind it?

I hope to be ever mindful that I have been given this day,
 this hour,
this minute, only.

Go explore all the other possibilities at the Studio Sublime

  7. Hi Laura,
Gorgeous photos of both the sunrise and sunset! Yes the day is what we make of it, most are productive, but once in a while you just have to have a day where you do nothing at all. I call those day my refresher days.

    1. Thanks Therese, those days are all very necessary, but I think as long as we stay mindful of what we are given each day we do better with our time, make more conscious decisions, even if it is to just rest!

    1. It is actually something I need reminding of as well as I get caught up in the everyday. It was very peaceful down there on the dock with the birds flying home for the evening and the quiet sounds of the water, was great until the bugs came out :)

    1. I am so guilty of this Alice! I plan ahead and think ahead and look down the road and so often miss this moment I am in. I guess it's human nature to take for granted what is in front of us but I want to try to do better!

  22. Aaaah, glorious. Sunsets are one of the things I miss most here in Montana. The sun goes down behind the mountains and I rarely get a sunset of note. In New Jersey I had a view that was endless and they were heavenly.

    Such peace in a sunset

    1. Oh No! No sunsets?? I don't think I could do that, I love to watch them too, sometimes I will just go outside and stand there to see the last of the colors! But I'm sure you have replaced them with some gorgeous vistas!
